Playback Theatre is very portable and has minimal requirements . Please read below carefully.
Private Warm Up Room – to be available 75 minutes before the show, the room must be at least 3m x 4m with a clear space for six people to exercise vocally and physically without disturbing others.
Performance Space/ Stage – an open space at least 3m x 4m, with three chairs and electricity access (for musical instruments). Larger audiences may require a PA system and microphones. Please provide room temperature water for six people.
Audience Seating/ Set Up – Seating should be arranged in a ‘theatre style’ set up facing the stage, whether this be in a conference room, theatre, lecture hall or school gym. Audiences should remain in the room during the performance (not coming in and out of the room) as the audience is essential to the show.
Dining is not advisable during a show unless PTS is performing role play or scripted theatre – this is distinct to a typical Playback performance. If PTS were performing a role play or scripted theatre seating may be arranged in theatre or cabaret style set up i.e. low tables and chairs.
Please contact PTS if you have any queries or concerns.
